Solidworks 2013 api changes.
Extruded sheet metal in solidworks.
Open the immediate window.
Right click on the toolbar and activate sheet metal.
Go to sheet metal and click edge flange from the sheet metal tab.
Use the thin feature options to control the extrude thickness not the depth.
Sketches a circle on the selected face.

Click convert to sheet metal sheet metal toolbar or insert sheet metal convert to sheet metal.

In the propertymanager under sheet metal gauges set options if you want to use a gauge table.
Extruding thin features thin feature is required when using an open contour sketch.
At this stage you can now shape you profile using the extruded cut feature.

In an existing sheet metal part click unfold or insert sheet metal unfold.
Creates cut extrude2 which is an optimized normal cut extrude.
Verify that the sheet metal part to open exists.
A thin feature base can be used as a basis for a sheet metal part.
Select a face as the fixed face.
One of the parts is bent from 1 inch plate which makes me want to model it as sheet metal.
