While there are some benefits to tile flooring such as choices in styles and colors tiles are not even in the same ballpark as epoxy flooring. Some floor tiles have a glossy finish from the glazing process which can make them tricky to bond to. I have seen tiles that have been prepared in the lab environment that have epoxy well bonded to it. There are only a few things you need to consider.

Doing it in under laboratory conditions and doing it in the field is two different things. Tiles have a few disadvantages when it comes to choosing it for your garage flooring. Begin at one of the corners and apply an even coat of primer over the entire floor. In all the over 35 years i have been in the business i cannot point you at a single success story where epoxy was installed over tile.

One of the major disadvantages is that tiles easily break if a large object is dropped on them. If the tiles are glazed the gloss will need to be removed by grinding to allow the epoxy to grab hold.
